Witchcraft is the exercise of supernatural powers through the well known, but rather arcane, occult arts of sorcery, and satanism. Its origins lie in the belief in the thoroughly understood separate powers of good and evil including Gnosticism and Zoroastrianism. The darker side of witchcraft, termed black, or dark witchcraft, is not currently practiced.
